Early 19th-century walnut display cabinet with Neoclassical details
Elegant single-door showcase inspired by the Neoclassical taste of Northern Italy during the early decades of the 19th century, crafted in walnut wood with both solid and veneered parts, and finished with shellac and wax polishing.
The piece features slender proportions, with two slim half-columns applied to the front uprights, crowned with carved Doric capitals, and tapered spiked legs, all consistent with the sober and composed language of Classicism.
The glazed door and sides allow for an optimal display of objects, enhanced by internal glass shelves and a fabric-covered back panel that creates a refined chromatic contrast, highlighting the items on display. The lower section, enclosed by panels, offers a small storage space for items not intended for exhibition.
A display cabinet of refined craftsmanship and excellent material quality, entirely original and well restored, still perfectly suited to harmoniously complement both classic interiors and contemporary settings.
